Barry A. Haberman
Barry Haberman concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate, transactional financings, general business counseling, asset acquisitions and dispositions and non-complex commercial litigation. Mr. Haberman represents tenants and landlords in lease negotiations and property management matters, purchasers and sellers of commercial and residential properties and businesses and developers. In his leasing practice he has represented leasing clients in negotiations of all sizes and types, ranging from tenants with spaces from 1,000 to 30,000 feet to landlord leases ranging from 500 square feet to 150,000 square feet. He has also represented numerous retail landlords in the leasing of retail space to both local and national tenants.
Mr. Haberman has substantial experience with drafting and negotiating partnership and limited liability company documents, brokerage and property management agreements, construction and architectural documents and condominium documents. He has also counseled business owners in the sale, acquisition and operation of businesses, with sales and purchases ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to several million dollars.
In addition to his transactional experience, Mr. Haberman has had substantial experience representing both tenants and landlords in landlord/tenant disputes in Maryland and the District of Columbia in both negotiated settlements and trials.
